Rev. Stacey Lundy

Rev. Stacey Lundy

Senior Pastor

Rev. Stacey Lundy came to the First UMC- Anson Circuit charge in 2021, newly ordained and beginning her 8th year of ministry.

Stacey attended UNCG for college and taught high school biology for two years. She continued on to Wake Forest University in Biology graduate studies, where she received a Masters Degree when God’s call to ministry shifted her quickly to head to Duke University for seminary. Serving as a pastor continues her love for the study of life and health as well as her love of teaching.

Stacey & her husband Kevin love the warm people of Anson County, and the treasures of the Pee Dee Wildlife Refuge.

Emily Privette

Emily Privette

Music Director

Emily is a native of Wadesboro and a lifelong member of First UMC, the place she calls her second home.  She lives in South Carolina with her husband Rodney, and two children, Greyson and Brooks.  Emily is a former music teacher and currently directs the Anson Singers and the Anson Youth Singers.  She is also the owner/baker of Empressions in the Kitchen, which has been a brand new adventure for her family!  Emily is proud to be a part of the music and worship team at First UMC.  She is also thankful for the work that the church continues to do in spreading joy and love throughout the community!

Gail Litaker

Gail Litaker

Assistant Music Director

As Assistant Music Director, I direct the Handbell Choir, assist instrumentalists, soloists and children for special music. I also serve as substitute pianist for worship and special services. As an accompanist,  I work with the Anson Singers and Anson Youth Singers which are sponsored  by First UMC.

Representing the staff on the Nurture Team, I help implement special opportunities to reach our congregation. It allows for a more caring and loving community as we prepare to reach out to others, together. My hope for the future is to bring back our weekly children’s music education ministry, Thursday’s Child, a much loved county-wide offering of 20+  years.

I look forward to every opportunity presented whether with children, youth or adults to lift worship, thanksgiving and praise through the Music ministry of First UMC.
