Music

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. to rehearse for worship. On Sunday mornings, we lead congregational singing and provide anthems to enhance worship. Choir does not meet during the summer.

Led by Music Director Emily Privette.

Handbells

Have a knack for ringing bells? The Handbell Choir provides special music for worship and other services. Handbells are a great way to participate in music ministry- even with little to no prior experience! They rehearse Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the handbell room on the ground floor.

Led by Assistant Music Director Gail Litaker.

Anson Singers

Anson Singers is a choral group open to people in Anson and surrounding counties who have a love of music and a desire to expand their musical knowledge. The Anson Singers provide an opportunity to fellowship with others and perform musical selections from various genres, typically offering a Fall and Spring concert each year. Membership is open to all who would like to make beautiful music and enhance the arts! Anson Singers is a 501c3 nonprofit; there is a modest membership fee per year that allows us to purchase music. Rehearsals begin the week after Labor Day each year.

Directed by Emily Privette, accompanied by Gail Litaker.

Anson Youth Choir

The Anson Youth choir is a singing group for 4th-12th graders in Anson County and surrounding communities, directed by Emily Privette & accompanied by Gail Litaker, in association with Anson Singers. A very modest fee helps us to purchase music. Rehearsals begin each year the Tuesday after Labor Day, and participate in a Fall and Spring Concert.

Thursday's Child

Thursday’s Child is a free community children’s choir open to all children in Anson county in grades K-5. Students will have fun, and learn music through singing and playing instruments. It’s a blast! Students 6th grade and up can volunteer to earn community service hours.
